Ginni Grant - Galt Ontario's Forgotten Jazz Singer History Youtube Video Released

Researching local Cambridge, Ontario history topics, I came across some newspaper articles about Virginia Belfer, a Galt, Ontario born child prodigy pianist. At just 9 yrs old in the 1950's she was special guest performer at orchestras in Ottawa, Toronto, Kitchener, Windsor and other places.

Further newspaper article searches for her name in later years brought up nothing. It turned out Virginia changed her name to Ginni Grant and moved to Toronto.

She played and sang for over 25 years in Ontario. She recorded singles and performed on TV and  many club appearances. A short video of Ginni's live has been made.
